During Dermaplaning we mechanically remove the top layer off dead skin cells by effectively "scarping" the skin with a surgical knife. As an added benefit superficial vellus-hairs or better known as "peach-fuzz" hairs are also removed leaving the skin with a younger and glowing appearance as well as much better make-up application.
